Retail Market Analysis: The Carey Mercantile Downtown Retail Project

The Wyandot County Office of Economic rmacarey.jpgDevelopment, OSU Extension Community Development, and Jill Clark from the Retail Market Analysis Program, OSU Dept. of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics worked collaboratively to develop a detailed retail surplus/leakage report for the Carey market area. This report offers a detailed analysis of purchasing patterns for 31 retail sectors in the Carey retail market region. The market region consists of both the Village of Carey and their competing market centers, including: Findlay, Fostoria, Tiffin, Upper Sandusky, and Sycamore. Data in this report will help the creators of Carey Mercantile by identifying opportunities to complement existing local businesses, not compete with them.
