The Wyandot County Office of Economic Development (WCOED) is pleased to share the news from Heritage Cooperative regarding the construction of its new agronomy facility.  The $11 million project includes a 27-acre facility featuring a 3,500-ton dry fertilizer building, advanced liquid fertilizer capacity, seed treatment operations, and service infrastructure. The investment retains approximately 20 jobs in Wyandot County and will be located north of the City of Upper Sandusky in Crane Township.

The WCOED worked with its local utility partners as well as the Erie County Port Authority (ECPA), administered by the Greater Sandusky Partnership (GSP), to recently close on a Capital Lease project with Heritage Cooperative.  By utilizing the ECPA’s Capital Lease program, Heritage Cooperative realized $270,000 in project savings. The Capital Lease program allows companies to reduce sales tax obligations on eligible project costs, lowering the overall investment burden while supporting regional economic competitiveness.
