WCOED Executive Director Greg Moon will begin the program with a recap of 2016 activity, and the presentation of the WCOED’s annual economic development awards. Dean Monske, President and CEO of the Regional Growth Partnership, will follow. The Regional Growth Partnership is contracted with JobsOhio to provide economic development leadership in the 16-county Northwest Ohio region. As such, the RGP works closely with the WCOED on business expansion and attraction projects. Mr. Monske will provide an overview of activity in the NW Ohio region as well as information regarding his organization’s interaction with our local economic development organization.

Closing out the program will be Thomas Charnesky, Plant Manager of Hanon Systems USA in Carey. Hanon Systems is the newest manufacturer to establish operations in Wyandot County. The WCOED worked extensively with Hanon Systems in 2015 to successfully site the company’s first Midwest production location in Carey, OH. Mr. Charnesky will provide an introduction to the Hanon Systems organization, and more specifically what will be taking place at its new Carey facility.
