Ag-Pro, a new & used John Deere equipment dealer, with locations in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio & Kentucky, is nearing completion of its new facility in the City of Upper Sandusky. The new 39,500 square foot facility will include a large retail store along with a state of the art service deaprtment handling both large farm and small yard equipment. A March 1st opening date is currently planned for the local facility.
Ag-Pro assumed ownership of the local John Deere dealership currently located on County Highway 121 in 2022. Since that time, the company had planned a move to a new location that would feature a flagship store for its newly acquired service territory. Through the assistance of the Wyandot County Office of Economic Development, Ag-Pro acquired a new 14-acre site less than a mile from its original dealership location, and additional assistance in the form of a local Community Reinvestment Area agreement with the City of Upper Sandusky.
In March, the new Ag-Pro facility will open the doors to its $8.4 million local investment. As a result, the company committed to the retention of 21 jobs with a $1.2 million annual payroll, and the creation of 5 new jobs with an associated $300,000 in annual payroll. WCOED member Clouse Construction Corp. is the general contractor for the Ag-Pro project.
